Wanna Meet the Cofounder of Netflix Tomorrow?

Hey Friends,

Happy November 19th. Welcome back to Stay Curious — a newsletter I write once(ish) per month when I have time to riff on a few things keeping me curious. I talk about startups, tech and other random things catching my eye in day-to-day life.

Some updates/ideas/questions I’m thinking through.

In no particular order, here’s some things keeping me curious this month:

  • Zoom Call with Marc Randolph, cofounder and first CEO of Netflix tomorrow at 10am PST if you wanna join. Link here

    • ​Marc Randolph is a veteran Silicon Valley entrepreneur, advisor and investor. Although best known as the co-founder and first CEO of Netflix, Marc’s career as an entrepreneur spans more than four decades. He's founded or co-founded more than half a dozen other successful start-ups, mentored rising entrepreneurs, including the co-founders of Looker Data, which was recently sold to Google for $2.6B, and invested in numerous successful tech ventures. Marc is the author of an international bestselling memoir, and the host of the new podcast, That Will Never Wor,k where he dispenses advice, encouragement and tough love to aspiring entrepreneurs.

  • Ran 29km for my 29th birthday: was a rainy one, but a great way to mark the new year around the sun

  • Virtual zoom call with Mark Cuban Dec 8th @ 11am PST if you wanna join. Link here (this one’s been on the bucket list for a while, stoked to finally make it happen).

  • A big special Vancouver Event (few tickets left) is coming to town soon — with Smartsweets founder Tara Bosch (exited for $400m), NYT best-selling Author of Lean Startup Book, Eric Ries and Hootsuite Founder Ryan Holmes Nov 30th at 2-5pm. RSVP here.

My ask of the month: we launcehd a new 8,000 sqft coworking space called North House in Vancouver and we just passed 10 startup teams, so that’s been incredible. It’s been a ton of fun. But we’re needing a few more sponsors that wanna toss $5K-$50K at the space to have their name all over our phone booths, meeting rooms and kitchen etc.
