Sushi Serendipity & 10km Ocean Adventure Races

Happy 8th Tuesday of 2026,
Welcome back to Stay Curious — a newsletter I write once per week on 3 things keeping me curious, or I send one of you $100 as a penalty.
I was cutting it close with a 1030pm sending today. But
Here’s what’s on my mind this week:

Tonight I had sushi with a few founders at North House
It was unplanned, no agenda and had zero calendar invite.
But it was the best conversation of my week.
Sometimes I wonder if too much of our week is planned for it to ever feel creative, fun and genuinely human. Curiuos to ask: how many of your work chats per week have no agenda/calendar invite?
I wrote more about the idea here
P.S. we’re hosting the founder of Saje Wellness ($200m / year business) for a fireside chat next Friday if you wanna join.

If you haven’t already learned, I love running, coffee by the ocean and events with good community. So my pals Jennah, Connor and I are bringing back the Bowen Bucketlister Race to Bowen Island June 13th.
Gonna be a 10KM adventure race, and the first 50 people that sign up (already at 31) get a free pair of sunglasses.
Got lots of fun surprises in the wings, but if you wanna snag a seat, jump on it now.
My friend Innes Simplson just shipped his first Gumroad product. He built this today and I’m genuinely stoked for him.
He’s a health enthusiast and a super-talented creative mind. If you have feedback or ideas on what he can improve, I know he’s looking for feedback.
The first couple of products are always the hardest. But the learning in the arena always outpaces the learning from the audience.
Liked today’s deep dive? Forward it to a friend.
