Bucketlister, Vinod Khosla and Pickleball

Happy Tuesday fam,

Welcome back to Stay Curious — a newsletter I write once per week on 3 things keeping me curious, or I send one of you a 100 dolla bill for catching me if I skip.

Bucketlister run this weekend. Who’s going?!

Here’s what’s on my mind this week:

1. Bowen Bucketliser

Last Saturday, my friends and I hosted 100 trail runners on Bowen Island for a 10km adventure run. Surprise, surprise: it was a vibe and a half

We had an oak berry pop up van, free sunglass sponsor, DJ, bottomless coconut water, homemade burgers, and everyone was in one massive group chat.

And the best part was: I think we came out cash flow positive.

Reminder: you only have 80 summers. DO THINGS that light you up.

This was hands down one for me. IG page if you care. 2027 waitlist if you feel the FOMO.

2. Vinod Khosla Fireside Today

Vinod Khosla used to be an unreachable name in my books. So did Mark Cuban. Having hosted them both for virtual zoom calls with our founder community has been a dream come true.

If you don’t know Vinod, he’s one of Silicon Valley’s most famous investors. He also was the first VC checks into OpenAI (kinda a big deal).

Wrote some more reflections about our time with him here

Next on my list is Melanie Perkins, the founder of Canva.

3. My Hot Take of the Week

When you’re most tired, you’re most aware of the people, projects and habits that give you joy vs drain your energy. Next time you’re tired, test it out.

P.S. YEYAwards.com just launched yesterday. If you know a founder under the age of 30 we should fly out to Whistler this Sept, nominate them here
